Increasing sustainability in construction is not only an ethical challenge, but also a strategic necessity. Simply choosing wood as a building material isn’t enough. Making a real difference means choosing responsibly-sourced wood. FSC certification is proven to come from responsibly-managed forests, preventing deforestation and forest degradation.
This webinar focuses on key European initiatives and tools that can increase the efficiency of using wood as a material that can reduce the carbon footprint of buildings without affecting safety standards and performance.
We invite architects, designers, construction developers, NGOs, FSC certificate holders, representatives of specialized associations and municipalities to participate.
During the 1.5-hour online meeting, participants will be able to learn about
- importance of forests for climate balance and sustainable construction;
- value of strategic partnerships for sustainable reconstruction;
- green initiatives, challenges and opportunities for Ukraine;
- the New European Bauhaus initiative.
