Pavlo Kravets FSC Ukraine National Representative will be a panelist of the Aid&Development Meetup to discuss how international agencies can run recovery projects while keeping healthy forests and achieving Sustainable Development Goals.

Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing military aggression, FSC has continued its activities in Ukraine, protecting forests and promoting the sustainable use of forest resources while considering the interests of future generations.

Since its inception, FSC certification has become a reliable partner in implementing responsible forest management and has been a guiding light for the development of Ukraine's forestry sector for 20 years. FSC tools help prevent deforestation and effectively achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

FSC envisions Ukraine's future as a country where recovery takes place in respect of green approaches: circular economy, efficient use of natural resources and low-carbon construction. These steps will reduce waste and energy consumption while driving innovation and economic growth.

In the context of the principles of Ukraine Recovery Plan, FSC certification is playing a catalytic role in the transformative processes of sustainable construction and urban solutions for the harmonious development of society and nature.

Today, FSC standards already serve as the basis for establishing reliable supply chains from responsible sources. We propose market solutions for transitioning to ethical consumption and raising awareness on these issues.  .

By engaging non-governmental organizations, government, donors, and businesses, in discussions on sustainability in the country's recovery, we contribute to the formation of long-term and sustainable trends in social and economic development.
