The training program was focused on providing practical knowledge on developing procedures and compliance with the requirements of FSC-STD-40-004 V3-1, FSC- FSC-STD-40-003 V2-1, FSC-STD-40-007 V2-0 and STD-50-001 V2-1. The other important element of the training was the active exchange of experience between the participants, which took place not only during the practical exercises, but also after the completion of the program. In addition, the training highlighted new tools and technologies aimed at strengthening the integrity of supply chains, which deepened the participants' understanding of trends and requirements for working with information in the forest sector.

An interactive session on FSC labelling on products and the promotional use of FSC trademarks in accordance with the new version of the FSC-STD-50-001 V2-1 standard will contribute to the active use of FSC in branding and marketing initiatives of certificate holders in Ukraine.

Pavlo Kravets, FSC National Representative in Ukraine, commenting on the results of the training, said: "As the number of Ukrainian companies choosing FSC continues to grow, we are committed to helping them take advantage of the benefits of our forest certification system and communicate their responsibility to global markets. Participation in the training demonstrates the interest of the Ukrainian forestry sector in implementing best business practices and joining value chains. FSC certification is not just an honourable distinction, it is a strategic tool for strengthening the competitiveness of Ukrainian business both in the domestic and international markets, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and the fight against climate change."
