In accordance with the strategy of proactive response to challenges, FSC Ukraine continues to support testing risk-based audits by certification bodies.

A member of the leadership team of FSC International, Lieske van Santen (Global Network Director), has visited Ukraine from 5-9 September for high-level talks with top stakeholders to support sustainable forest management and responsible business in the country.

Yesterday the government announced a significant reform of the forest service, which will see a merge of all forest management enterprises into one company. FSC is aware of the reform, and representatives of the FSC leadership team are meeting today with the State Forestry Agency to discuss the implications for the certification system.
